Skin - smooth,  Colour of before time;  stretched over mind set to walk  
and sell.   
Path fixed in aeon's sky.  Herd, string-led pace-by-pace  up ridged sand.  
Tracks interweave when   
-jolt-   
Lips crack as  fractured dune  
crested  
and I  wake  
to  
 
parch   
Moisture burnt from  
dry air-con  
touching  
bile   
-retch  Teeth clenched  
Dam bitter  
swallow  
gasping reach for clean  
Nile   
Flood   
Breathe.

Stone soul whispered  Savage blister,  Naked faith betrayed the truth  To mist I  
Sent her drowning -  Kept from self to weep  
With exile's pitchblade.   
Scream to ice form jagged Christ  False hope born broken scar field  Frames the sun  
In petrol-fire heart will seek  Respite in incandescence spun.   
Besiege these lines of fractured bliss,  Bereft of heaven's harm-blessed ire I  Leap between fixed ravaged  
Thought-states higher than  Kissed lover's gun.

Evening's fall slays sunshine's gold;  the soft cascade,  a friend's soul named.  Gone but for a little innocence.   
I watch.  A sodium field ignites the silence below.  Floats above,  between.  Fools' yellow guides through slow-light fibre optics.   
See me.  In absence, all logic takes leave;  a still need,  a slow dream.  Lazy slave, I,  bound to longing's metric   
seek pause.  My eyes trace,  stick -  weave.  Find rest in the photon gridlock

Have you ever had a dream, that you were so sure was real? What if you were unable to wake from that dream? How would you know the difference between the dream world and the real world?
